Concept 1: Loves Fashion
I decided to use mannequins to form my name as it would be clean and neat. This would enable the clear distinction between each alphabet. I initially wanted to have a stand for each mannequin but realized in the end it would be better if I did not simply because it will only make it more cluttered and at the same time, draw less attention to my name itself.
The second name design for fashion is on a fashion rack. I had initially drawn a simple rack but changed it to something more elaborate to make it look less like laundry.
This concept is basically just individual items that form my name in a fashion magazine, that are this season's MUST HAVES. Denotations have been put underneath each item on the magazine. The 'J' are knee high socks, 'U' is a bikini, 'N' are two pumps, 'Y' is an eyelash curler and 'I' is an eyeliner.
The last concept is a sale at J's Store. Like the above, each item on sale forms each alphabet of my name except for 'Y' where the person jumping in joy forms the shape of a 'Y'.
Concept 2: Hates Reading/Books
The first design for 'I hate reading' is a line of books sitting on a book shelf. The 'J' is a book stand. 'U' is an open book that is being supported by both the book stand as well as the next book beside it. The 'N' comprises of 3 books. 'Y' is a book holder with a book on it and the 'I' is just another book.
This next concept is a person reading a book. The 'J' is a J that stands for the month, January. The 'U' is a pair of specs sitting on the book. The 'N' is a big rotated 'Z' from the person sleeping. The 'Y' is made up of a pencil and a ruler and the 'I' is a finger pointing at a dead fly.
This is basically a bunch of stickmen that are meddling around with books. The first man, is sleeping, forming a 'J'. The second stickman is holding a reading a book, leaning on the first stickman, forming a 'U'. The third stickman is doing a bridge on a stack of books, forming an 'N'. The next stickman is ripping pages off a book in glee, forming a 'Y'. The last stickman is just holding a book, standing, and sleeping, forming an 'I'.
This is at a street, showing a bookshop. The 'J' is an umbrella. The two stickmen sitting down reading a book in the bookstore forms a 'U'. The 'Y' is a book holder. As for the 'I' and the 'N', The stickman on the extreme right is throwing a pebble angrily at the bookstore, forming an 'I'. As for the 'N', it is made up of glass cracks from the pebble that was thrown.
